Malibu Hindu Temple Announcements
Malibu Hindu Temple Announces Suspension of Indoor Services and New Hours of Operation
Pursuant to the directive issued by the Governor of California and adopted by the city of Los Angeles on July 13, 2020, the Malibu Hindu Temple is temporarily suspending all indoor operations until further notice, with immediate effect. However, the directive has given an exception to allow the Temple to offer other services that do not involve indoor operations. Based on this and the surge in coronavirus cases in Los Angeles County, the Temple will be completely closed from Monday to Friday and will only be open on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, for outdoor services only. The Temple is making adequate arrangements to have the darshan of the gods both in the Venkateswara temple as well as the Shiva complex. These services will be administered under strict guidelines to ensure safety of all the employees and the devotees. Outdoor dining services will be available only on a take-out basis on Saturdays and Sundays.
The Temple schedule will be as follows:
Hours of Operation (until further notice):
Monday to Friday: TEMPLE CLOSED
Saturday & Sunday: OPEN from 10:00 AM- 5:00 PM, for outdoor services only
With regard to other special services such as marriage ceremonies, we will be publishing detailed guidelines which will be announced shortly.
We regret the inconvenience that this causes to our devotees but we are doing the very best we can under the circumstances to offer a window of opportunity for devotees to visit the Temple. We will keep you posted of any other changes. Please check our website for further updates: www.malibuhindutemple.org.
