Malibu Hindu Temple Closure Update
In continuing concern for the safety and well-being of the priests, employees, and devotees of the Temple, and based on the current continuing surge of coronavirus cases, we have concluded that it is not feasible to reopen the Temple at this time. The Temple remains closed and will be closed this weekend, Saturday, January 9th, and Sunday, January 10th, 2021. The Temple will remain closed until at least next Friday, January 15, 2021.
We hope all of you understand the challenges at the Temple and the situation in Los Angeles County. We urge you to cooperate with us during perhaps what is the most difficult time in the history of the Temple. As I have said before, we are ensuring that all the spiritual protocols at the Temple are being followed. We will provide updates on a weekly basis regarding the schedule and reopening of the Temple. I have also received numerous calls that note that Google search shows the Temple is still open. I wish to remind all of you that the information on Google does not reflect the most recent and updated information regarding the hours and operations of the Temple, and in fact, there is a disclaimer of any information that is on display on Google. We request you to follow our website at www.malibuhindutemple.org for the latest information before you undertake a trip to the Temple. We are praying to the gods at the Temple for this pandemic to end and for all of us to be back together at the Temple to celebrate as we have done for over three decades. In the meanwhile, please stay safe and healthy.
Wishing you all once again a Happy New Year.
