In continuation of our efforts to follow the Safer at Home order, the Malibu Hindu Temple will continue to remain closed at least until Sunday, May 31, 2020. During this period, we’ll continue to perform all the rituals that are a part of our spiritual practice.
In the meanwhile, we truly hope that you are able to participate in the live streaming programs being offered by the Temple on Saturdays and Sundays. If you are not familiar with this program, please visit our website: https://live.malibuhindutemple.org to watch the Live Aarthi every Saturday and Sunday.
The Temple has also made it possible on a case by case basis for the priests to attend to certain services outside the Temple premises. We request you to follow the social distancing measures laid out clearly by the city of Los Angeles in ensuring the safety and health of our priests. We once again remind you that these programs must be limited to less than 10 people and everyone attending the program must mandatorily wear a mask.
We request you to defer to the priests to modify the services that we are able to offer as necessary based on social distancing guidelines. In the recent past, we have received requests from devotees to perform some services in the Temple premises. As you may know, this is strictly prohibited by the Safer at Home order. We cannot make any exceptions to this.
However, as we stated earlier, we are offering the services via live streaming. We encourage you to participate in these programs on Saturday and Sundays. We are in the final stages of expanding our live streaming services to include additional programs.
Please look out for an e-mail where we will formally announce live streaming of Maha Mrityunjaya and Dhanvanthari Homams and Maha Poornahuti, shortly.
We continue to appeal for your generosity and donations to ensure that we are able to sustain the maintenance of this great Temple. We pray everyday at the Temple for the health and safety of all of you.
