Dr. S.A. Manohara, Former President of the Malibu Hindu Temple, Passes Away

The Malibu Hindu Temple is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Dr. Manohara, former President of our Temple and husband of Jayashri Manohara, current Vice President and Board of Director. I spoke to Jayashri an hour ago and assured her that the Temple Board and our community is standing by to assist the family in any manner that is necessary. She informed me that the last rites for him are going to be performed as a private event confined only to his immediate family. I request all of you to respect her sentiments. It goes without saying that the Temple will be announcing a memorial service to hon,or his life and his yeoman services to the Temple and to our larger community. He represented the best values of the Temple. His contributions to the Temple at difficult times can never be forgotten. As the President of the Temple and as a friend of the family, I am grieving and I am sure that all of you will receive this news with tremendous sadness.
